Waste Collection
Waste collection services are provided by Waste Management. Trash is collected every Monday. Recycling and yard waste are collected every other Monday. Waste Management observes the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. When one of these holidays falls on a Monday, collection will be delayed until the following day. Lose track of the schedule? Just check the calendar of events on the navigation page if you are unsure!
 
The city's contract provides for one large rolling trash bin (green lid) and one large rolling recycle bin (yellow lid). Residents can use personal bins/cans or paper bags for yard waste. Residents can contract individually with Waste Management for additional waste or recycle bins for an additional cost. 
 
Please note: mattresses and box springs must be enclosed in plastic (bags are available the home improvement stores).

Police
Norbourne is located in Louisville Metro Police Department's Fifth Division. For emergencies, please call 911. For non-emergencies, please call 502-574-LMPD (5673).
 
Downed Trees
If you need to report a downed tree in Norbourne's park, please Contact your city officials. For any tree that is blocking the street plese call 911 immediately and then report to the Mayor
 
Power Outages, Gas Leaks, and Street Light Outages
The various ways you can report power outages and gas leaks to LG&E can be found at their Online Service Center, including online, by phone, or text or LG&E's mobile app. The outage map can be found at this location as well. 
 
Power outages can be reported by phone to 502-589-1444 or 800-331-7370 or you can text OUTAGE to 4LGEKU (454-358). 
 
In the event of a gas outage or leak: Leave the area immediately and get to a safe area where you cannot smell a natural gas odor. First, call 911. The contact LG&E at 502-589-1444 or 800-331-7379 and press 1-1-1.
     
If you notice a street light outage, please report it to LG&E at 502-589-1444 or through their online at Online Service Center!
 
Storm Water
If you notice standing water or stormwater problems in your area, please report to MSD at 502-587-0603, by email at  CustomerRelations@LouisvilleMSD.org, or through their Online Service Center

Monthly Meetings
Meetings are held at St. Matthews City Hall on the second Tuesday of every month, at 6:00 PM. Check the calendar of events in the navigation bar if you are unsure.
